NEWSOME, Charles Jr. W., age 93, of Trenton, December 30, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Karen Newsome. Loving father of Rick (Debbie), Dwayne (Kimberly), Debra (Gwyn) and Donald. Dearest grandfather of Charles IV, Lorien, Justin, Kellie, Derek, Brandon, Steven, Courtney, Wyatt, Ashleigh and Hayleigh. He is preceded in death by his son Charles III, his beloved parents Charles and Leta “Papaw and Mamaw”, his sisters Lorraine and Mary Ann and his brother James. Charles proudly served the City of Trenton and residents for over 34 years as a police officer, retiring as a Command Lieutenant. Charles was an avid bowler with two 300 games to his credit. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Michigan Humane Society. Private burial; future memorial to be announced and held in spring 2022.
